7:30am – 6:00pm
9:00am – 11:30am or 12.30pm-3:00pm (when available)
These sessions are available to all children aged over 3 years prior to them moving on to Reception class.
The Pre-School room follows the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and provides a balance of child initiated and adult led activities both indoors and outdoors.
We recognise each child as an individual and consider their interests as an important part of planning appropriate activities. Each child is given time to make relationships with the adults therefore choosing their own key person with whom they they can feel secure and confident in their environment.
The children have access to a wide variety of resources and learning opportunities with the support of experienced staff who observe the children as they play by way of written observations, samples of their work and photographs which are collected in their Learning Journeys. These are assessed on a regular basis to ensure they are receiving the best experiences to support their learning and development in preparation for their transition to their chosen Reception class.
(Children are entitled to 30 hours and 15 hours government funded places)
