Little Gems follows the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and focuses primarily on the three prime areas of learning and development. Children are assessed between the ages of 24 months and 36 months on their achievements in Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Communication and Language and their Physical Development. Parents will be encouraged to share this information with other professionals, including their health visitor to inform the Healthy Child Programme review at age two, and with other settings.
The sessions are a balance of child initiated and adult led activities both indoors and outdoors.
(Children are entitled to 2yr funding and 15 or 30 hours government funded places the term after their third birthday and we also provide places for two year olds claiming funding.)
